SHANNON KELLI HUCKESTEIN, LMFT, MHP

I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Shannon and I’m a licensed psychotherapist and yoga therapist. I work with individuals and couples in California via online talk therapy sessions. I also facilitate in-person and online group yoga programs.

My early life (like many of us) was filled with familial and generational challenges. To cope, I was drawn to things like stretching, dancing, and doing cartwheels. I particularly enjoyed doing my mom’s Denise Austin aerobic tapes. 😅

I didn’t realize what I was doing back then, but now I can see I was staying connected with my body — which got me through some of the most difficult chapters of my life.

To this day, I’m deeply curious about and interested in strengthening the connection to our inner wisdom through mindfully moving the body.

I love my work because it’s a privilege to help others experience a satisfying quality of life…

  • a life anchored by inner harmony

  • a life enriched with daily laughter

  • a life that feels connected and meaningful

Like many of us, I was launched into adulthood with heavy baggage. What’s more, my mom died of cancer when I was 23. Believe me when I tell you — I know firsthand the toll that chronic stress, low-quality eating, painful relationships, and depression take on a person’s mind, body, and spirit.

But it’s never too late to course-correct. And it’s absolutely possible to move through the most complicated of problems with fortified peace and perspective.

As you take your next inhale, I want you to feel hope being breathed into you.

Together, we’ll make space for new possibilities in your life. It would be my honor to work with you.

I work with clients in three ways:

You are not alone, and you don't have to go through your struggles feeling isolated and as if no one understands you.

Yoga therapy is the practice of creating a better relationship with your discomforts. It's a practice of discovering and understanding yourself and being empowered to change what isn’t serving you.

Whether you chronically second-guess yourself, bury your emotions with food, feel plagued by regret, or are haunted by past trauma or mistakes -- I'm here to tell you that you are worthy and capable of change.

It's time to connect with the true you and fill your heart with compassion — so you can transform your relationship with yourself, others, and the world around you.

I have seen my clients shift from feeling anxious, stressed, and worried to finally getting a handle on their emotional triggers to feel more calm and centered, even during times of difficulty and transition.

“We can let ourselves be carried by the river of feeling - because we know how to swim.”
